North Korean leader Kim Jong Un described his relationship with US President Donald Trump. of “fantastic movie”, according to the editors of a book that will be published on September 15 and reveals the correspondence between the two leaders.
The relationship between the two leaders has been at the center of diplomacy between Washington and Pyongyang, fluctuating from insults and threats of war to a declaration of love from Trump.
For this work, the famous American investigative journalist Bob Woodward obtained the 25 letters “never published until now” that the two leaders exchanged, according to the American publisher Simon & Schuster.
In his letters, “Kim describes the bond between the two leaders as worthy of a ‘fantastic movie’,” stated the publisher on the Amazon page dedicated to the book.
Titled “Rage,” the book is a sequel to “Fear. Trump in the White House ”, published in 2018.
Trump and Kim met three times, the first at a historic summit in June 2018 in Singapore.
However, negotiations on the denuclearization of North Korea have not made much progress, and have even stalled since the fiasco of the second summit in February 2019 in Hanoi.
However, that hasn’t stopped Trump from regularly praising his relationships with Kim, even going so far as to say that they had “fallen in love.”
“He wrote me beautiful letters, they are magnificent letters. We fell in love, “the US president told his supporters in September 2018.
Woodward is known for his revelations in the Watergate scandal, which led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon in 1974.
Trump has tried several times to discredit Woodward’s earlier book, calling it a “joke” and a “scam.” But in January he claimed that he had interviewed the journalist for this new play.
