Trump reveals the amount of money a family could receive in support and orders the Treasury to prepare to send a new stimulus check

The president said he was ready to send additional federal assistance to the states

This Friday the president Donald trump wrote on Twitter that he “has ordered” the Treasury Department to “prepare” to send direct stimulus payments in absence of a financial aid package agreement in Congress.

In a tweet, President Trump addressed Steven Mnuchin, Secretary of the Treasury, where he revealed that direct financial support payments would amount to a total of $ 3,400 for a family of four.

“I have directed @ stevenmnuchin1 to prepare to send direct payments ($ 3,400 for a family of four) to all Americans. THE DEMOCRATS ARE SUPPORTING THIS! ”The message reads.

The president said be ready to send additional federal assistance to states, local governments, police, firefighters, first responders and teachers.

“I am ready for the @USTreasury (Treasury Department) and @SBA (Small Business Administration) to send more PPP payments to small businesses that have been damaged by the Chinese virus. THE DEMOCRATS ARE SUPPORTING THIS! ” So the president tweeted.

The House of Representatives, led by Democrats, approved a trillion dollars in federal funds for states and municipalities through the HEROES Law who intends to set a budget of up to $ 3.7 trillion. For its part, the Senate, which is led by Republicans, has not approved a new package to counter the Democratic proposal and only presented the HEALS Act.

Until this week the negotiators of the White House, the Senate and the White House have not reached an agreement and even the vice president Mike pence has been lobbying Congress to reach a new pact leading to the approval of a new economic stimulus support package that enables Americans to deal with the coronavirus crisis.
