Luis Garcia of the Washington Nationals became the first player born in 2000 to hit a home run in the major leagues on Monday.

The 20-year-old second baseman went down in history with his two-run dash to right field off Touki Toussaint’s pitches in the second inning of the game against the Atlanta Braves.

The youngest player in the major leagues, Garcia was born on May 16, 2000. The Nationals promoted him on Friday to replace Starlin Castro, who was placed on the disabled list with a broken right wrist.
