Presumed involved in the murder of Mirada Cardoso found dead in his cell

Arturo “N”, allegedly involved in the murder of notary Luis Miranda Cardoso, father of the federal PRI deputy, Luis Miranda Nava, was found dead inside his cell at the Almoloya de Juárez Penitentiary Center, Santiaguito, the Security Secretariat reported of the State of Mexico.

Through a statement, the Undersecretary of Penitentiary Control confirmed that this man took his own life inside his cell at approximately 8:30 pm on Monday, in the area known as “imaginary”.

Based on the information, during the night the last roll call was made, with the inmate Arturo “N” present; However, when making a subsequent walk through the corridor at 10:30 p.m. because no response was heard from this subject, prison personnel opened the door of his cell where he was hanging with a pair of pants tied to a window bar.

They immediately notified the medical service, who determined that this 57-year-old man no longer had vital signs.

The death was reported to the Public Ministry who will be in charge of carrying out the pertinent investigations, while the Undersecretariat of Penitentiary Control has provided all the necessary information for the investigations that may arise.

Arturo “N” was apprehended this Sunday by the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico for the alleged participation in the homicide of the father of the former Secretary of Social Development, Luis Miranda Nava.

Based on the investigation of said institution, it was learned that this man was a worker of the former president of the State Judicial Power, which made it easier to know his activities, his movements.

The Prosecutor’s Office detailed that with the progress in the various cabinet and field tasks it was possible to establish that the motive for this homicide was the robbery of a house; This hypothesis was strengthened by the evidence collected by the Investigative Police and Experts of this Institution in the days after this murder.

Yesterday, Monday, a Judge of Control of Toluca (Almoloya de Juárez) of the Judicial Power of the State of Mexico, authorized the duplication of the constitutional term for next August 22, in order to determine the legal situation of Arturo.
