‘Marco’ becomes a Category I hurricane over the Gulf of Mexico

This Sunday, “Marco” became a Category I hurricane over the Gulf of Mexico, while moving towards the United States.

According to the US National Hurricane Center, “Marco” is moving towards the coast of the American Gulf, with sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour.

When it was a storm, “Marco” left a person dead, several interrupted road sections, puddles and floods in various municipalities of Chiapas.

According to forecasts by the Mexican National Meteorological Service, “Marco” will remain a hurricane until Monday afternoon, when it could degrade again to a tropical storm.
