Corral estimates that César Duarte could be extradited at the end of 2020

The PAN governor of Chihuahua, Javier Corral, estimated that former PRI president César Duarte could be extradited to Mexico at the end of 2020.

According to the SinEmbargo news portal, Corral stated that “what we believe is that at the end of this year or the beginning of the coming year (2021) the former governor will have to appear before the courts of Chihuahua.”

Duarte has 21 arrest warrants against him for crimes of corruption and is currently in prison in Miami awaiting determination of his legal situation.

Corral considered that the United States Justice could deny him bail at the hearing to be held on Monday, August 31.
