More than 8,600 health workers have been nominated to receive the Miguel Hidalgo 2020 Decoration in the Collar and Cruz degrees for heroic acts and exemplary behaviors during the health emergency facing the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reported the IMSS .
On August 11, the site where health personnel and patients recovered from COVID-19 can propose a medical and nursing professional who has treated them during the pandemic was enabled.
There are four award grades. The one on Collar is aimed at doctors and nurses from COVID-19 teams who are in direct contact with critically ill hospitalized patients. It is the highest distinction for heroic acts that are difficult to repeat and 58 will be awarded, with a diploma and 100,000 pesos in cash.
The Cruz Degree will be delivered to 500 doctors who have collaborated in the care of patients in high-productivity COVID-19 hospitals.
They will be awarded a diploma and 50 thousand pesos in cash in recognition of their work.
The Degree Banda award is aimed at 7,150 workers from the COVID hospitals of the Health Sector and all those who have demonstrated exemplary behaviors.
These people will be given recognition and 25 thousand pesos.
Meanwhile, the Plaque Degree will recognize all health personnel who have fought the pandemic with a plaque with their names that will be placed in federal government hospitals that treat patients with COVID-19.
The call to apply for Health personnel in the Collar and Cruz Degree closes next Sunday, August 30, while in the Banda Degree the registry was extended until September 20.
