Luc Martel – Berths Midget AAA
In action yesterday at the Complexe sportif Alphonse-Desjardins (CSAD) against the Albatrosses of the College Notre-Dame (Rivière-du-Loup), the Estacades first blanked their opponents 2-0 to then extract in extremis a draw verdict of 3 -3.
In the first duel, Rémi Royer’s players had a good match, showing greater intensity. The two teams demonstrated a higher level of competition than at the start of the camp. The hard work of the training sessions is starting to pay off. The shutout was entered in the record of Benoit Forget, the latter blocking 11 shots. Offensively, Jasen Desruisseaux took care of the two winning nets.
During the second duel, the young booms thought much more offensive than defensive. As in the first game, the passing game seemed to satisfy the manager. Rémi Royer underlined the calm and relentlessness of his protégés at the end of the match.
Pulling from behind by a goal, a superb pass from Trystan-Félix Tremblay, placed behind the net, to Evan Courtois, allowed the locals to equalize the score with only thirty-four on the clock, to the great satisfaction of his teammates. In his second game in training camp, Étienne Gélinas gave up three times on 13 occasions.
The Berths will be in action again this evening at the CSAD with the visit of the Lions of Lac St-Louis.
