They ratify the removal of ministerial agents in the Ayotzinapa case

The Federal Court of Administrative Justice (TFJA) considered unfounded the arguments presented by Romeo Ortiz Valenciana, José Manuel Dirzio Correa and Enrique Ramírez Hernández, former agents of the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) of the then Attorney General’s Office (PGR), to invalidate the removal from their positions because of the irregularities in their actions in the Ayotzinapa case.

This was resolved by the members of the Plenary of the Superior Chamber of the Court, who unanimously declared the arguments presented by the three former officials unfounded.

During the presentation of the case, the magistrate Juan Manuel Jiménez Illescas, stated that the then agents appeared at the scene of the events during the night of September 26 and the early morning of September 27, 2014 in Iguala, Guerrero, where a group of students from the Raúl Isidro Burgos Rural Normal School in Ayotzinapa were attacked.

It added that their actions were omission and incomplete in handling the case and therefore, the General Directorate for Removal Procedures of the Office of the Inspector General, of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), determined that they were administratively responsible for the irregularities and imposed the administrative sanction of removal from their positions.

“It was proven that the investigation they carried out was not diligent, since the actors did not put interest, nor care, much less were they effective in fulfilling their obligation to investigate crimes, particularly to corroborate whether the normalistas students had really faced bullets with elements of the Iguala municipal police, as reported by the C4 call, “said Judge Jiménez Illescas.

Despite the fact that the PFM elements were at the scene -for which they gave a report on September 27, 2014-, they assured that they stayed away from the students and buses when the municipal police attack ended. of Iguala against young people to avoid confrontations. And at no time did they request the presence of paramedical personnel to assist possible victims.

Juan Manuel Jiménez Illescas said that the elements, by leaving the place without providing protection and assistance to the students, and by not preserving the scene of the events or the integrity of the possible victims, led to the violation of the integrity of the young people, since a second attack occurred at 00:00 hours on September 27, resulting in the disappearance of the students.
