President Donald Trump promised on Thursday to create 10 million jobs in less than a year, according to the news portal of CNN.
“We will create 10 million jobs in the next 10 monthsTrump said during his speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday.
It is important to note that these are probably not new jobs, as most of the jobs generated over the next few months will simply replace those that were lost when the pandemic hit the United States.
More than 22 million jobs disappeared this spring as a result of the business closure, the worst job loss on record. The unemployment rate peaked at 14.7% in April.
Since then, more than 9 million jobs have been re-created, to which Trump wants to add 10 million more.
COVID-19 infections, advances in the development of a vaccine, as well as economic difficulties throughout the country, are among the main factors that would determine the recovery of the country.
