2 more A’s games postponed, now in Seattle

Mark Canha, right, is congratulated by his Oakland Athletics teammates after hitting the decisive hit in the 10th inning of the game against the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2020, in Oakland, California.

Oakland’s first games of the series in Seattle were postponed to allow for additional testing and contact reviews after a member of the Athletics tested positive for the coronavirus.

The positive caused the postponement of the game that Oakland was to play on Sunday against the Houston Astros.

Now, games against the Mariners on Tuesday and Wednesday have been postponed. The A’s are also due to play in Seattle on Thursday.

On Sunday, the A’s reported that they would remain isolated in Houston. It was not specified whether the infected person was a player or another person from the expedition.
