After the discussion, the reform of articles 108 and 111 of the Mexican Constitution regarding jurisdiction in the Chamber of Deputies was approved.
During the exchange of positions, the Morena legislators stated that the reforms involve withdrawing the jurisdiction of the president, but the opposition parties pointed out that it is not removed, but rather that the catalog of crimes for which he could be prosecuted is expanded.
420 votes in favor, 0 against and 15 abstentions were counted. Once approved, it will go to the Senate for analysis.
