PAN indicates that AMLO’s government mistakes ‘cost lives’

In the two years of the government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, mistakes have been made that cost lives, lamented legislators from the PAN parliamentary group in the Senate of the Republic.

In presenting his agenda for the third legislative year, the leader of the bench, the senator for Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri, said that the current government has generated “a great disappointment” and that the administration has fallen into the temptation of authoritarianism, since it seeks to destroy those who do not agree with the country project proposed by the president.

“Today there is great disappointment due to the failures of the federal government. Errors that cost lives, that destroy employment and plunge us into one of the greatest economic crises in history. And this concurs with the authoritarian temptation of the six-year term, before a government that he seeks to destroy every day all those who do not agree with his project, “he said.

They demanded the disappearance of undersecretaries and government bodies that the president announced today in his message to the Nation, noting that these announcements were given only to give a public face that an austere government is being sought, when in reality, Kuri considered, what is needed at this time is to avoid spending on projects such as the Dos Bocas refinery, the Mayan Train and the Santa Lucía Airport.

They warned that the figures presented by the president, around the 30% reduction in crimes such as kidnapping, femicide, robbery, do not coincide with those of the Executive Secretariat of the National Security System.

Kenia López Rabadán claimed that there has been an increase, for example, in the rate of femicides; This lack of coincidence directly affects because her administration has not proposed clear public policy strategies that prevent this form of extreme violence against women.

“In November 2018 there were 67 femicides, and in July 2020 there were 73 femicides, feminicides increased by 9% and of course he was generating an average in all the months since he took office to this day, in all months there has been a rise in femicides, “he said.

“It is truly worrying that he dares to say that feminicides have decreased because then there is no strategy so that feminicides are reduced, there is no strategy so that there are clear public policies and women are no longer in danger of death.”

Josefina Vázquez Mota claimed that the report did not mention the violence experienced by children and adolescents and that it has worsened during the period of confinement due to the Coronavirus 2019.

“The violence in this pandemic has shown its crudest, most cruel face against women, but also against girls and boys, and by not even speaking, by not giving them a voice, by not recognizing them, what can we expect in terms of design of public policy, prevention and care, what we have seen so far, absolutely nothing, “he lamented.
