During an interview at the White House the president Donald trump said Americans can look forward to another round of stimulus checks before the end of the year.

“We are working on another economic stimulus package and that will take place … very soon,” Trump told Jessi turnure, a reporter from the Washington, DC Nexstar bureau, however, President refused to provide a date and one specific amount of a potential stimulus payment for Americans hardest hit by the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Last month, Trump hinted at the possibility that Americans received a second check arguing that the additional money would be “very generous” but refused to name an amount. “You’ll find out, you’ll find out.”

In March, Trump signed an economic rescue package for $ 2.2 trillion to make it law after a unanimous agreement by Congress and to add a support program for companies, for the unemployed, for health workers and for families in difficulties during the coronavirus pandemic.

Congress passed the first round of checks almost unanimously after both parties said aid was essential as the coronavirus shutdowns almost completely paralyzed the economy.

Democrats in the House of Representatives have indicated that they agree to carry out a new injection of money into the pockets of Americans, including direct payments through the proposal of the HEROES Law that they promoted in May and that contemplates a budget of more than $ 3 billion dollars.

Some Democrats have proposed a more aggressive approach to stimulus measures. In early May, the sensors Kamala harris, Bernie Sanders and Ed Markey unveiled a bill that would give most Americans a monthly payment of $ 2,000 dollars until the virus will start to subside.

In April, senators requested payments of $ 2,000 in cash for each American who earns less than $ 120,000 annually. The proposal would be expanded to $ 4,000 dollars for married couples and also provided an extra $ 2,000 for each child up to a limit of three. This means that families with three children could receive $ 10,000 a month.
