Chevrolet has extensive experience in all possible characteristics when talking about automobiles, in recent years it launched the Chevrolet colorado zr2, a version designed to compete with models like the Ford Ranger Raptor.

After several years the manufacturer already plans the development of a new variant, the ZR2 for the Silverado. This model would be the direct competence of the Ford F-150 Raptor and Ram TRX.

Brand reports, revealed on the site Muscle Cars & Trucks, the new one Chevrolet silverado zr2, which is expected to launch in 2023, will arrive with an off-road suspension that will incorporate new generation DSSV shocks, as well as differentials with electronic locking for both axles and new front and rear fenders to improve the angles of attack and departure.

The report also explains the unveiling of the Silverado Chad Hall Racing who met during the SEMA Show from 2019, which was actually a first prototype version of the new Silverado ZR2.

Nothing official is yet known about its powertrain, but it will surely have an engine as impressive as its rivals, as we remember that the RAM 1500 TRX will mount a Hellcat engine that will deliver at least 600 horsepower, while the Ford Raptor can be equipped with the new engine of the Ford Mustang GT500 It delivers more than 700 horsepower, so the Silverado’s current 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque seems to fall short.
