INE gives reverse to Mexico Libre

The General Council of the National Electoral Institute (INE) denied this Friday the registration of the organization Libertad y Responsabilidad Democrática (Free Mexico), represented by Margarita Zavala and Felipe Calderón, to become a political party.

The vote was seven votes against and four in favor. This, after the President of the INE, Lorenzo Córdova, said during his argument that “opaque money should be a generic cause for denying a registration.” Therefore, he affirmed that his vote is against Mexico Libre.

This Friday afternoon, former President Felipe Calderón assured from his social networks that it is false that some donations made to them are not identified.

In several messages through his Twitter account, Calderón Hinojosa explained that the donations that were questioned come from the “clip” application and all the donors that were used are fully identified and said that it is false that they are not.

Former President Felipe Calderón warned on social networks that his movement will not stop, despite the fact that the National Electoral Institute (INE) decided not to grant the registration of a political party to México Libre.

Calderón described as ridiculous the arguments of the electoral advisers with whom they decided not to register the organization “Libertad y Responsabilidad Democrática AC (México Libre)”.

assured that the president of the INE, Lorenzo Cordova, lied in his arguments to deny that free Mexico could contest in the next year and have access to the public budget.

The National Electoral Institute (INE) evidenced various irregularities of organizations that requested registration as political parties.

For making a massive affiliation, the Encuentro Solidario Party – which only changed the word Social for Solidarity – received a fine of 470 thousand pesos, because it misused the application provided by the INE to register its supporters.

Lorenzo Córdova, president of the INE, said that due to the number of teachers who participated in the organization of an assembly, it does lead to having “indications” that there is interference from the teachers’ union.

Social Networks also received a fine of 422 thousand 450 pesos for giving 200 pesos to those who agreed to go to assemblies and join.

The electoral body applied the same fine to Fuerza Social for the intervention of union members of the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM), in addition to almost one million pesos for affiliations in public and religious facilities.

The General Council of the INE granted registration to Encuentro Solidario, as a national political party, by 6 votes in favor and 5 against. In this regard, the counselor Ciro Murayama wrote: “We have just lost a battle of the secular state. Encounter for Solidarity is granted registration in @INEMexico by 6 votes to 5. This despite the fact that ministers of worship participated in the organization of that party. Juárez’s legacy is damaged. “
