They will allocate 500 million pesos for a million bits

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced that the federal government will allocate 500 million pesos to buy one million tickets of the raffle of the commercial value of the presidential plane TP01 to be distributed in the almost a thousand COVID hospitals in the country.

In a press conference and a week after the draw, he explained that these resources come from seizures made by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) to the Institute to Return to the People the Stolen (Indep), which will deliver one million little bits to the Institute of Health for Wellbeing (Insabi), which will distribute them to the 956 public hospitals.

“There are 956 COVID hospitals and all of them will have an average of a thousand tickets. It is a million tickets because there are 500 million pesos contributed by the prosecution of the seizures carried out and delivered to Indep, and this is the institute He gives it, in turn, to Insabi so they have these tickets, “he said.

In the National Palace, he specified that if a hospital obtains one of the 100 prizes of 20 million pesos that will be raffled on September 15 at the headquarters of the National Lottery, it will be the workers of these health centers who they will decide where to allocate this award.

“Whether for equipment or to improve the situation of the hospital, for uniforms, protection of personnel, an ambulance or whatever they decide,” he reiterated.

López Obrador informed those who wish to support the federal government in this raffle, they can still buy raffle tickets -which cost 500 pesos- and thanked businessmen and leaders of social organizations for their support when buying little pieces.

“This will allow us to have at least 2 billion pesos for the purchase of medical equipment, everything will remain in the health sector,” he said.

Ernesto Prieto, general director of the National Lottery, explained that as of Monday, 3 million 815 thousand cubes have been sold, that is, 63.58% of the 6 million distributed, which represents one thousand 907.6 million pesos.

“The total income is 1,907 million 600 thousand pesos. As of September 7, 3 million 815 thousand 200 little pieces have been sold, equivalent to 63.58% of the total available, this last month was very good for this draw,” he said.

He recalled that it will be held next Tuesday, September 15, at 4:00 p.m. in the El Moro building and that its purpose, he emphasized, is to obtain resources for the purchase of medical equipment to allocate them to public hospitals.
