Between shoves and screams, the relatives of victims who have taken over the facilities of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) arrived at the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) to meet with officials of this agency.
From the morning the protesters reported that they would meet this afternoon with Olga Sánchez Cordero, although they will not negotiate the release of the CNDH offices, but will ask for support so that more victims are transferred to the agency’s building.
For its part, Segob reported that the people who will receive them are Fabiola Alanís, head of the National Commission to Prevent and Eradicate Violence against Women (Conavim), and Paulina Téllez, head of the Justice System Support Unit.
The victims’ next of kin were transferred to Segob in vehicles of the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office.
Today marks a week since the victims’ relatives took over the facilities of the national body, with the aim that the authorities advance in the investigations of their cases.
