‘El Mochomo’ is held in the Altiplano for organized crime

After almost two months in home detention, the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) and the Office of the Special Prosecutor for Organized Crime Investigation (Seido) placed José Ángel Casarrubias Salgado, ‘El Mochomo’ at the disposal of a federal judge for organized crime .

José Ángel, one of the leaders of the Guerreros Unidos Cartel and involved in the disappearance of the 43 normalistas from Ayotzinapa, was imprisoned in the Federal Center for Social Readaptation (Cefereso) number 1, Altiplano located in Almoloya de Juárez, in the State of Mexico.

‘Mochomo’ and one of his lawyers were brought at the federal disposal for the crime of organized crime.

Through La Jornada it was reported that the lawyer who was detained with him is one of those who intervened in June of this year before officials of the second district court in criminal matters based in Toluca, to benefit the offender and be able to granting freedom by discarding evidence provided by the MP that proved his leadership in the cartel and his participation in drug trafficking.
