With a report of 16 active cases of COVID-19, including 7 identified during the weekend, Gérard-Filion high school is undertaking a screening test for approximately 600 first and second secondary students. The latter are also exempt from classes until tomorrow to carry out this screening.
The pupils will therefore undergo the test according to a schedule communicated to them, at a mobile screening unit which has been set up within the school.
Currently, 9 students and 7 staff are among the active cases.
Across the Marie-Victorin School Service Center, 1o schools have at least one active case of COVID-19. Of the 27 active cases, 18 are students and 9 are staff.
The situation at Gérard-Filion high school remains by far the most worrying, with the schools on the list showing one, two or three active cases.
These are the Pierre-Dupuy Vocational Training Center, Lucille-Teasdale school, Mgr.-A.-M.-Parent high school, Jacques-Rousseau school, Mille school -Fleurs, the Jardin-Bienville school, the Montérégie hotel school, the Carillon school and the Tournesol school.
The toll of cumulative confirmed cases, including those who are back on school benches, stands at 45 cases.
