Two workshops video mapping will be offered in Trois-Rivières as part of the Journées de la culture.
Thanks to specific software, video mapping is a multimedia technology that makes it possible to produce a 2D artistic creation – such as a drawing, for example – which will be projected on a larger scale on a surface such as a wall, a building facade, a bridge, viaduct, etc.
No need to have knowledge in the different art techniques: the artist mediator Jérémie Deschamps Buissières will be there to support and guide the participants in the drawing of a 2D animation on a digital tablet.
The creation workshops will take place under the theme “Ecosystem: build and deconstruct”.
“Everything is done on the tablet that will be loaned to participants,” specifies Geneviève Guillemette, coordinator of cultural visual arts at Culture Trois-Rivières. You don’t have to be an artist to experiment and have fun in this activity. And then, a week later, the participants will see their works being projected, in very large format, on a wall at the Maison de la culture. ”
The sanitary measures of Public Health must be respected during the workshops and the screening the following week.
The workshops will take place on September 26 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Louis-Philippe-Poisson room of the Maison de la Culture. The screening will take place a week later around 7:30 p.m.
The activity, organized in collaboration with the libraries of Trois-Rivières, is free, but given the limited number of places, you must first register at 819 372-4615 or at the public libraries of Trois-Rivières.
