An alleged plaza chief in the southern zone of Veracruz was detained by elements of the Public Security Secretariat (SSP).
He is Carlos Francisco “N”, alias “Panchón”, supposed leader of Los Zetas in the municipality of Agua Dulce.
The detainee is accused of alleged crimes against health and illegal possession of a firearm.
Police sources detailed that on Francisco I. Madero Street in the Cuatro Caminos neighborhood, the subject was drinking alcoholic beverages and took an aggressive attitude against the officers.
The agents proceeded to arrest him, assuring him a handgun, cartridges and doses of various drugs.
The intelligence reports place Carlos Francisco “N” as one of the priority targets of said criminal cell in the southern part of the state.
The presumed regional leader was placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) for the corresponding investigations.
