The Fondation du cégep Édouard-Montpetit has launched a new fundraising campaign to support school perseverance. Baptized Inspiration, this campaign aims to meet the most pressing needs of students in this context of a pandemic.
As young people aged 15 to 24 are more likely to experience the impact of the pandemic on their jobs and finances, according to Statistics Canada, the Foundation has chosen to offer financial support to its students in the form of emergency grants, subsidies for the purchase of technological and educational equipment, scholarships for school perseverance or support for student projects.
“Everything has been done at the Cégep to support our students so that they have access to the usual services, even remotely; our goal is to keep them motivated throughout the session, ”said General Manager Sylvain Lambert.
The virtual campaign will replace fundraising events for the next few months that had to be canceled due to the pandemic.
The Foundation can also count on a completely new brand image as well as a new website for the launch ofInspiration. (GM)
