After Gérard-Filion school last week, it is Jacques-Rousseau high school’s turn to close its doors for two weeks due to numerous cases of COVID-19.
As the outbreak was spread over many classes, public health authorities recommended the closure of the school in the Arr. du Vieux-Longueuil until October 19 inclusively. In an email sent to parents, the Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSS) de la Montérégie-Center recommends that young people go into isolation for the week until they return to class on October 20. He also urges them to watch closely for symptoms.
Recall that on September 27, Gérard-Filion school announced the suspension of its classes until October 13, after 26 students and 7 teachers were diagnosed with COVID-19. (GM)
