A judge linked a woman to the process who “sold” her 2-year-old daughter for 5,000 pesos.
The agent of the Public Ministry of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office of Amecameca accredited the alleged responsibility of Erika Janeth “N”, 28 years old, for the crime of trafficking in persons, in the manner of who in his capacity as a person who has authority over whoever exercises the conduct, delivers a minor for illegal adoption.
According to the indictment of the Mexican prosecutor’s office, Erika Janeth “N” apparently gave her 2-year-old and 7-month-old daughter, along with a birth certificate, to a man to carry out an illegal adoption.
The events occurred last September, when the woman, accompanied by her minor daughter, appeared on Calle Sur 1, in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, in the municipality of Valle de Chalco, where she would have delivered the little girl to an individual, who apparently he paid him 5,000 pesos.
Relatives of the victim reported his disappearance to the ministerial authorities, for which an Amber Alert was activated for his location.
The little girl was found on September 23 by elements of the Ixtapaluca Municipal Police, when she was walking in the streets of the Lomas de Ixtapaluca neighborhood.
The minor was recognized by her father and was later transferred to the Public Ministry agent to be certified by a doctor.
The FGJEM established that the infant had been given up for illegal adoption by her mother, for which she was arrested and admitted to the Chalco Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center, where a judge linked her to the process, with a period of two months for closure. investigation and a precautionary measure of preventive detention.
