Users will need version 7.2.07.19 of the application.
South Korean company Samsung has expanded the function of ‘Offline search’ of your application Find My Mobile to all Galaxy mobile devices.
This feature allows Galaxy phone users to locate lost devices even if the mobile has no Internet connection.
Samsung introduced ‘Offline Search’ in your Find My Mobile app at the end of August, although it was only available for Galaxy devices in the United States and South Korea.
Now, this function is available on all Samsung Galaxy smartphones that has Android 10 or higher operating system, according to the XDA Developers portal.
To have this function, users will need version 7.2.07.19 of the application and they must activate it manually by selecting the ‘Settings’ section, then’ Biometrics and
security ‘, choose’ Find my mobile ‘and’ Search offline ‘.
This feature works thanks to nearby ‘smartphones’ and tablets, since Galaxy devices that have the function enabled can scan the area and search for others. In this sense,
Devices that are near a lost phone can report its location.
