The 30th edition of the Mayor’s Blood Drive started today and ends tomorrow. Citizens are invited to come and donate their blood, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., in the central courtyard of Les Rivières shopping center.
For the occasion, Mayor Jean Lamarche took part in the game for a second consecutive year. “It is important to give blood and I am appealing to all Trifluviens to come and give blood. You know that a donation can save up to four lives, ”he testified.
Since March, Héma-Québec has invited people who wish to donate blood to make an appointment by calling 1-800-343-7264 (SANG), or by sending an email to jedonne @ hema-quebec .qc.ca.
The reservation of a time slot facilitates the progress of the event in a pandemic context. In addition, Héma-Québec wants to be reassuring by deploying numerous health measures to protect donors, volunteers and employees.
Anyone in good health over the age of 18 can usually donate blood. Before coming to a blood drive, you can check your eligibility at 1-800-847-2525 or on the Héma-Québec website.
