A former employee of the United States embassy in Mexico is suspected of drugging and sexually assaulting 24 women, videotaping many of them while they were unconscious, according to federal prosecutors.
Brian Jeffrey Raymond was arrested this month in San Diego, where he moved after leaving his job in June. He was indicted in one case for an alleged assault on May 31, and the prosecution indicated they anticipate additional charges related to 23 other women.
The FBI launched an investigation after Mexican police responded to a call that day and found a woman naked and screaming from the balcony of an apartment rented by the embassy in Mexico City.
Investigators found more than 400 photos and videos on Raymond’s iCloud account, in which he appears to be recording unconscious women, according to court documents.
