An arsenal of 30 long and seven short weapons, as well as more than 6 thousand cartridges, 335 magazines of different calibers and 30 conventional vests and three with bulletproof protection, was secured by elements of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) and the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR).
The seizure was carried out after military personnel detected a building, in which part of the weapons were observed, during a land reconnaissance patrol in the municipality of Tuxpan, Jalisco.
After the discovery, the elements of the Mexican Army proceeded to provide peripheral security to the property and the authorities of the FGR were informed, who completed a technical investigation order assuring.
In addition to the long and short weapons, the cartridges and the tactical equipment, detailed the Sedena, four improvised explosive devices of artisan manufacture were found inside the premises.
Everything insured, it was indicated, was made available to the Agent of the Public Ministry of the Federation based in Ciudad Guzmán, in the entity, by the elements of the FGR.
The Sedena indicated that with this action the weapons detected and insured were completely withdrawn, thus preventing it from being used in the commission of any crime.
