In order to guarantee the supply of cancer drugs in the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), its general director Zoé Robledo, announced that a network of people in charge will be launched to specifically monitor the existence of these drugs throughout the country. .
During the eighth session of the working group between authorities of the institution with mothers and fathers of children suffering from cancer, the head of Social Security pointed out that based on the specific cases presented by family members, it was determined to designate a person in charge to dedicate time and effort to attend to each problem.
He added that the list with the names of those in charge will be released next week.
The bureaucracy cannot beat us, nor the paperwork, and much less the indolence or indifference, that is not worth it and whoever acts like this does not deserve to be a Social Security worker, I tell you with my hand on my heart ”, indicated Zoé Robledo .
On the other hand, it was reported that in the IMSS, “the supply of oncological drugs is more than double”, going from 290 thousand in early September to more than 640 thousand drugs, in the last week of October.
Currently, in the pediatric oncology patients platform, there is a registry of 506 girls and boys who receive treatments and chemotherapies in six medical units of the Institute.
