In a great gesture of solidarity with the community, the owners and employees of the Coco Frutti breakfast restaurant in arr. de Saint-Hubert will donate their time to distribute free meals over four days.
“The Saint-Hubert community has always helped us, it has always supported us, we want to thank it,” said Director of Operations Sophie Patry.
In the midst of the second wave of the pandemic, when some citizens have lost their jobs, the managers of the restaurant located at 6250, boul. Cousineau wanted to offer some comfort.
Between 100 and 150 meals per day will be distributed over four days, November 3 and 4, as well as November 10 and 11, between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Five choices of dishes will be offered. Since restaurant dining rooms must remain closed, meals will be prepared to order for take out.
Six employees will help out on a daily basis on a voluntary basis.
This gesture of generosity is an initiative of the president of Coco Frutti, James Akbari. “He believes that we will get through the pandemic even stronger if we help each other!” Ms. Patry testifies.
A video was posted on social networks to publicize the good deed.
