A 715-hp convertible based on a Corvette C8 – L’

Ares is a small car manufacturer based in Modena, Italy, very close to Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani. The water in this region must contain something very special to allow such exotic projects to be laid. Ares presented a sports coupe last month. Here is now a roofless version of the same car the Ares S1 Spyder which, like the coupe, will be produced in only 24 units.

A base of Corvette C8

The man behind this car Dany Bahar uses a known base, that of the more recent Corvette C8 for the platform and the engine. But the 6.2-liter V8 which is also in the rear center position is being developed by the same team working on the future Corvette Z06. This engine produces 715 horsepower, runs at 9,000 rpm and is capable of bringing this racing car to 100 km / h in 2.7 seconds. Note that the car can count on a double wishbone suspension, forged aluminum axles and an adaptive magnetic control system, all of which promise to give the S1 a smoother ride.

Ares also uses a custom exhaust system. This new model, which is a tray, therefore without a roof, promises a symphony that will fill your eardrums with happiness. The price of the coupe model has been announced at 500,000 euros or just over $ 772,000 Canadian. The price of the tray has not yet been announced, but it will not be less than 500,000 euros, it is the only certainty that we have.
