The Mexican Air Force (FAM) supported this Sunday with the transfer of almost 7 tons of equipment corresponding to a Covid-19 Mobile Medical Unit, from Acapulco, Guerrero, to the state of Chihuahua, an entity that is registering a significant outbreak of the disease.
The air transfer operation was carried out in coordination with authorities of the federal Ministry of Health, since the mobile hospital provided services in the Guerrero municipalities of Zihuatanejo and Ometepec.
In a Hercules C-130 plane, registration 616, of the Mexican Air Force, 6.7 tons of infrastructure medical equipment such as beds, monitors, ventilators and medicines were transferred, destined for the entity that is in a red traffic light of health alert by Covid -19.
The Covid-19 Mobile Medical Unit has a capacity for 20 medical care beds, for intensive care and recovery, with the support of medical, nursing and quartermaster personnel.
The Hercules Plane landed this Sunday afternoon in Chihuahua and it is expected that in 72 hours it will be fully installed and ready to provide services, by the Secretary of Health, in support of the population of that entity.
