The pandemic has accelerated the trend for teleworking and Devimco Immobilier has decided to take it into account in its rental projects under construction. Thus, he deploys three concepts of workspaces in ten of his projects, including those of the Nobel and Éolia, in Brossard, as well as that of Longueuil near the metro.
The project is carried out in partnership with Artopex, a Quebec furniture manufacturer that offers a complete range of furniture dedicated to workspaces. The spaces developed specifically for Devimco are available in three versions, depending on the size of the living space. In particular, there is a wall unit for tight spaces.
“With the trend towards smaller living spaces in recent years, we have realized that, quite often, we lack a workspace that would prevent us from working on the kitchen table or on the living room sofa, says Serge Goulet, Chairman of Devimco Immobilier. As much as possible, it is important to have a dedicated space to work, and that is what we want to offer our residents with this practical solution. ”
The three products developed by Artopex could also be offered in real estate projects purchased from Devimco.
For Daniel Pelletier, president of Artopex, “this partnership is a logical continuation of the development of new office collections for the home that we have recently initiated”. He adds that his company’s products are ergonomic, durable and blend in well with the decor.
The three types of products
The Nook is a compact wall unit that blends in with decor and provides workspace for those with smaller living spaces.
The Edmond, with its “L” design and retractable surface, aims to optimize the workspace. A wall unit with many storage options completes the layout.
The Aeria is an ergonomic work surface with pneumatic height adjustment to allow both seated and standing work. A storage cabinet is also integrated.
