The secretary chaired the second session of the Working Group for the Effective Regulation of the Marketing of Basic Grains, where he stressed that these actions are intended to provide certainty and better marketing opportunities to producers, as well as to contribute to the organization of grain markets. basic in the country.
Villalobos Arámbula indicated that the Sader installed the Working Group for the Effective Regulation of the Marketing of Basic Grains, which is made up of sectorized public agencies of the agency and has the function of carrying out coordinated actions to guarantee the production, marketing and management of risk of basic grain crops in the country.
In the working group, agriculture, development banking and commercial actions converge to cover prices and risk management in the agricultural sector, primarily for the autumn-winter 2020/2021 cycle, he explained.
“The objective is to work comprehensively in the implementation of financing schemes and timely credits for agricultural producers in contracting price coverage and agricultural insurance,” the secretary stressed.
He also said that this scheme will open windows of opportunity to cover a minimum price for producers of basic grains, “the scheme is also open to producers of the spring-summer cycle 2021 in case the futures market in these basic grains open windows of opportunity to cover a suitable minimum price for the crops of the families of the producers and producers of these grains that are so important for the food self-sufficiency of our country. “
In the virtual meeting, Villalobos Arámbula said that with a view to the future in the commercialization of basic grains in the country, concrete actions are aligned and recommendations are made on the participation of credit organizations for price coverage and insurance in the next agricultural cycles.
