AMLO confirms that judge denied arrest warrant against Videgaray

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador confirmed that the Judiciary denied an arrest warrant against Luis Videgaray, who is related to the Odebrecht case, because he considered that the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) did not properly integrate the request.

“I was informed that a request in this regard was made to the Judiciary, but it was rejected because a judge considered that the investigation was not well integrated or the request that was being made, “said the Executive.

Yesterday, Monday, the journalist Carlos Loret de Mola announced that the Prosecutor’s Office presented a request for an arrest warrant against Videgaray Caso, but it was not accepted, so he “withdrew to rearm the petition and try to get the order again.”

In his press conference at the National Palace, President López Obrador said that he was informed that the judge returned the request to the Prosecutor’s Office, “I don’t know if it is definitive or to complement it.”

“In these cases, it is always a matter of repairing or supplementing if the investigation is poorly integrated, that is a function of the judge who does not admit it, because he considers that it is not solid or does not have all the elements,” said López Obrador.

On the Latinus site, by journalist Loret de Mola, it is stated that according to the document, the Prosecutor’s Office seeks to accuse Videgaray of five crimes: one electoral, two for bribery, one for criminal association and one for treason.
