Against cyber challenges, Mexicans are concerned with three issues: secure access (62% of responses), data privacy (60%) and maintaining control and enforcement of public policies (59%), two studies showed.
According to Cisco’s “Future of Secure Remote Work” analysis and “Annual Consumer Privacy Survey”, consumer concerns about data sharing during the pandemic and the security challenges facing companies facing support to employees and customers during remote work. “The reports highlight opportunities to increase resilience by committing to security that enables access to data and applications from anywhere, on any device,” Cisco reported. So investing in security as well as privacy will prepare organizations and customers for the “new normal.”
Additionally, surveys found that Mexico had the highest number of organizations, with 77% of the total with more employees working remotely due to the pandemic, surpassing Brazil, Canada and the US.
69% of companies and workers indicated that personal and desktop computers, personal devices are another challenge to maintain cybersecurity during the so-called home office.
