Relatives of the children who died 11 years ago in the ABC Nursery fire in Hermosillo, Sonora, threatened to take over the facilities of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) if they are not taken care of by the Undersecretary of Human Rights, Alejandro Encinas.
The victims’ relatives set up a sit-in outside the Segob since last Monday, but now they have threatened to enter the building if Undersecretary Alejandro Encinas does not receive them, at the latest, at 3:10 p.m.
The parents of the deceased minors demand that the Executive Commission for Victim Assistance (CEAV) repair the damage caused by the loss of their loved ones; This type of repair entails financial compensation, psychological and medical attention.
Pedro González León, a relative of a minor who died at the ABC Nursery, indicated that his demand is also related to access to justice, since until now all those responsible for the fire have not been punished.
Likewise, this morning the same relatives of victims who two months ago seized the facilities of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) forcibly entered the facilities of Segob.
