FCA will soon have offered a Hellcat engine in all models capable of accommodating it. After the Ram TRX it will now be around the Dodge Durango to offer a limited edition Hellcat engine. This 6.2-liter V8 that will make 710 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque will arrive in January 2021 at Dodge dealerships.
This Durango SRT Hellcat will be the most “macho” in history. It’ll literally rip the asphalt and go 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds and do a quarter mile in 11.5 seconds. If you find a straight line long enough, you can reach 290 km / h. Note that the asking price is also up to the performance. Dodge is going to charge $ 114,345 for this Durango. To this price, you have to add transport, preparation and taxes. A toy that is expensive.
Only for 2021
Dodge will be building the Durango SRT Hellcat exclusively for the 2021 model year because this engine configuration will no longer meet environmental standards in 2022, so you’ll have to decide quickly if you intend to purchase it. Beyond the Hellcat model, Dodge made an update to the Durango for 2021 with a more aggressive exterior and a performance-inspired interior. The cabin has been refreshed with a new driver-oriented cockpit, featuring a new instrument panel, center console and wrapped and stitched mid-dashboard, better quality door panels and the latest generation of the Uconnect 5 system, five times faster with a 10.1 inch touchscreen available.
