President Andrés Manuel López Obrador interrupted his work tour of Nayarit and Sinaloa, to travel to Tabasco to attend to the emergency due to the floods caused by the last rains.
President López Obrador said that he will fly from Tepic to Tabasco in a Mexican Air Force plane with the Secretary of Defense, General Luis Cresencio Sandoval.
Through a message, the president noted that “there is an emergency situation in Tabasco, I have been monitoring the overflow of the rivers and especially the situation of the Peñitas dam, which is the one that can flood the Tabasco plain “.

He said that the Peñitas dam, these days was filled and an exhaust has been programmed.
“Around dawn the dam received a lot of water and is completely full and the volume of exhaust had to be increased,” said the president.
“I’m going there to be aware of this situation, we need to be where it is most required, where the humble people who need us most,” he said.
