In the update of the epidemic risk traffic light, which will be in force in Mexico from November 9 to 22, two entities, Chihuahua and Durango, are in red with maximum risk; 18 in orange, with high risk, among which is Mexico City; 11 in yellow, with medium risk, and one in green, Campeche, with low.
In a press conference at the National Palace, the general director of Epidemiology, José Luis Alomía, explained that the entities that decreased their color and increased their epidemic risk were: Durango, going from orange to red; while Sonora, Sinaloa and Guanajuato changed from yellow to orange.
Those that lowered their risk were: Nayarit, Michoacán and Quintana Roo, which changed from orange to yellow.
The health authorities had already announced since Friday, October 23, that Chihuahua was returning to a red light and Durango from Tuesday, November 3.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed 551 more deaths from covid-19, totaling 94,323, and reported 5,931 new confirmed cases, for a total of 955,128.
Finally, José Luis Alomía reported that two rapid antigenic tests were approved for the confirmation of covid-19 cases, which are the Sofia Sars and Antigen FIA Kit.
The recommendations made by the director general of epidemiology to achieve good results with these rapid tests were: that they be taken in people who present symptoms, that patients have not had more than seven days with the evolution of symptoms and that they be carried out by the staff capable.
