This is how the new COVID traffic light is presented in Mexico

When updating the epidemiological traffic light, the Ministry of Health reported that Chihuahua and Durango will remain on red traffic lights, Campeche is the only federal entity in green, 18 states will have a high risk level, or orange and 11 in yellow.

At a press conference, José Luis Alomía, director of Epidemiology, pointed out that Campeche continues as the only state to have a green epidemiological traffic light, while Chiapas, Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Puebla, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala and Veracruz will have a yellow traffic light.

For Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Mexico City, Coahuila, Colima, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora, Yucatán and Zacatecas, the risk remains aloft, that is, at an orange traffic light.

The official commented that in relation to the previous traffic light, Durango went from orange to red, “which is why Chihuahua joins those who reside in these entities, we ask them to pay close attention to the interventions of the health authorities in order to contain the transmission , mitigate epidemic activity and the expectation is that the red levels will decrease to orange. ”

He pointed out that Sonora, Sinaloa and Guanajuato, which were in yellow last week, for the next fortnight increased their risk level to high, as a consequence, activities in public space and mobility are expected to have a reduction.

Finally he commented that three entities turned yellow; Nayarit, Michoacán and Quintana Roo. “It is good that they achieved a lower level of risk, but to continue in yellow and based on what we have seen before, we must continue to apply these hygiene and healthy distance activities.”
