Patrick Mahomes threw passes for 372 yards and four touchdowns, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill exceeded 100 yards in catches each, and the Kansas City chiefs beat Panthers 33-31 on Sunday from Carolina.
The The Chiefs’ victory was sealed when Panthers kicker Joey Slye missed a 67-yard field goal, which was opened on the last play.
The Chiefs (8-1) held onto the lead when Christian McCaffrey, back from an ankle injury, scored by advancing a yard with 1:26 to play.
The Panthers side kick was recovered by Kansas City, but used their three pauses to get the ball, and Teddy Bridgewater’s 23-yard pass to Curtis Samuel with 9 seconds it gave them hope.
Carolina (3-6) tried to pass McCaffrey, but the incomplete shipment forced Slye in. With the wind at his back, he kicked just off the sticks and the Chiefs escaped victorious.
