They attack with bullets a reporter in Salamanca who was covering the discovery of human remains

The reporter Israel Vázquez of the digital newspaper El Salmantino was attacked with bullets this Monday morning when he was covering the discovery of human remains on Villa Salamanca Boulevard in the Villa Salamanca 400 neighborhood, in this city.

The journalist was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition after presenting various impacts from a firearm.

“We are dismayed by the things that are happening in the municipality of Salamanca … unfortunately one of our colleagues and friend was attacked by unknown subjects until now … while giving the news at the scene,” said another journalist from the guard police officer of the digital medium.

“So far we cannot believe what happened to our partner,” he said in a live broadcast from the site of the attack.

He regretted the “vile and cowardly” aggression against the reporter. “We only came to report on the facts … we moved to conflict zones (to report),” he added.

Israel Vázquez had arrived at the scene aboard a vehicle with the El Salmantino logo to disseminate through social networks the location of black bags with human remains on the asphalt strip of Villa Salamanca Boulevard.

On Sunday night, human remains were also found in the main garden of the Valtierrilla community, in this city, in front of the Father Méndez temple.

Last Saturday, the body of a person wrapped in transparent plastic was left in front of the chapel of the Ángeles de Abajo neighborhood, in Salamanca.
