MEXICO CITY.

A total of 29 deaths is the balance left by the covid pandemic in nursing homes and rest houses in Nuevo León, most of these registered in the municipality of Guadalupe.

Manuel de la O, state Secretary of Health, reported at a press conference that the outbreaks of covid in nursing homes in the state have not only been infected.

Because being part of one of the groups vulnerable to the SARS-COV-2 virus, life expectancy, in addition to the conditions that patients already suffer, reduce the chances of fighting the disease.

There are 14 older adults who died in the Luis Elizondo rest house and 10 in the Misericordia asylum, both places located in Guadalupe.

Of the six remaining deaths, four were registered in Monterrey, one in San Nicolás and another in the municipality of General Terán.

The state health secretary commented that, in his visits to the nursing homes, he has been able to verify the care that the staff has with the people who live there to avoid any risk of infection.

However, the latest contagion on October 20 seems to contradict it completely.

Well, 12 of the 13 inhabitants of the “Casa de las Rosas” asylum, located in the San Jerónimo area in Monterrey, were infected with covid, even one of them died.

The 29 deaths in nursing homes are added to the 34 deaths registered today, with which, if the daily trend is over 30 deaths, in the next few days the figure would reach 5,000 deaths, from the first death last year. month of April.
