The Auxiliary Police (PA) rescued a minor whose father was trying to give it away in the Alameda Central.
The events occurred last Sunday in one of the fountains in the park, when the 22-year-old tutor, apparently drunk, offered his two-year-old son as a gift.
Passersby informed the policeman Víctor Andrade, who went to verify the situation, according to a PA report. The man said that he gave his son away because he had no one to take care of him and they lived on the streets.
The MP started an investigation folder for the crime of omission of assistance or care by blood relative and the minor was protected by the Prosecutor’s Office.
