Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic tested positive for covid-19 this Friday, one day after his team’s match against Sweden, reported the Croatian Football Federation (HNS).
Brozovic’s Inter Milan and the Swedish epidemiologists were informed about the positive test, “the HNS said in its text.
The positive of Brozovic arrives two days after defender Domagoj Vida tested positive for covid-19, after playing a friendly against Turkey (3-3) in Istanbul on Wednesday.
The Croatia’s squad and the team’s coaching staff were tested in Sweden this Friday and two of the results were positive. In addition to Brozovic, a member of the coaching staff is also infected. Both have been in isolation.
After the game against Sweden, Croatia has another UEFA Nations League game, on Tuesday against Portugal.
