The secretary of the Cuernavaca City Council Erick Santiago Romero Benítez confirmed that derived from the Increase in Covid-19 Cases in Cuernavaca and of people who walk in the streets of the city and its shops, it is not ruled out that there are arrests for 36 hours and fines for those who do not use face masks.

The official indicated that this measure is already contemplated in the Police and Good Government Side.
“However, if there are citizens who do not abide by these provisions, if there will be an administrative arrest, they may be admitted to the qualifying judge in the qualifying courts and pay a fine,” he said.
The measure, explained the city council through a statement, is contemplated in article 128, section IV of the Regulations of the Police and Good Government Side of the Municipality of Cuernavaca, where it is pointed out that they are considered infractions or misdemeanors to attempt against public health.
“The maximum that they can be is 36 hours and at a given moment they would have to pay an economic sanction that goes exactly from 1,500 pesos to 7,000 pesos,” he explained.
