Morena’s bench in the Chamber of Deputies defended not having labeled resources for the purchase of vaccines against COVID-19 in 2021 and assured that it would be a mistake and irresponsible to want to accurately label resources, since the doses will be purchased this year.
In an interview, the federal deputy and spokesman for the bench, Javier Hidalgo, indicated that having labeled specific items in the Federation’s Expenditure Budget (PEF) 2021 would be to want to tie the government’s hands, when what is needed is to be very clear to ensure that the vaccine is on time and that it can be massively distributed.
He said that if the vaccine were paid for until 2021, the doses would hardly be available at the end of that year or until 2022: “There is no point, it is common sense that there is no point in labeling it in the 2021 budget.”
