The Ministry of Foreign Relations (SRE) reported that this Monday began phase III of the testing of the candidate vaccine against COVID-19 in the state of Quintana Roo.
Through a statement, the agency indicated that this day the Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights, Martha Delgado, and the Governor of Quintana Roo, Carlos Joaquín González, met within the framework of the beginning of the vaccine testing protocol developed by the CanSino Biotech pharmaceutical company in our country.
“This trial complies with a rigorous and robust security protocol to be able to be carried out internationally in its phase III,” said the Foreign Ministry.
“The private company in charge of the study has the approval of the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) of the Federal Ministry of Health, which provides security to the Mexican volunteers who have decided to participate,” he said.
On November 8, the Foreign Ministry informed that phase III of the clinical trial of the vaccine developed by CanSino Biologics also began in the state of Guerrero.
